Understanding Erectile Dysfunction in men

Erectile dysfunction is the impotence to get and keep an erection firm enough for sex. It is very common and it affects about 30 million men in the United States.   • Unable to maintain an erection

  • Premature ejaculation

  • Delayed ejaculation

What causes erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction can be secondary to health issues that affect blood flow to the penis. The issues include hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes. In addition, it can also be a result of psychological factors such as depression and trauma. 

How do I get tested for erectile dysfunction?

While there is no specific test for erectile dysfunction, your health care provider can diagnose you with ED based on symptoms and health history. Your provider may send you for additional testing if appropriate.
